Overview

A parallel uninterruptible power supply system that improves efficiency and reliability by connecting two UPS units directly to multiple power sources. Traditional backup power systems rely on a single primary utility feed with a secondary source providing backup if the primary fails, which can lead to moments of vulnerability during switching. This system instead wires both UPS units to at least two independent power sources, allowing each UPS to draw from multiple feeds simultaneously. This parallel architecture distributes the electrical load more evenly across the power sources and provides seamless redundancy—if one source fails, the other continues supplying both UPS units without interruption. The configuration reduces the need for complex switching logic and allows the UPS units to coordinate load sharing, improving overall system efficiency and response time during power disruptions.
