Overview

A parallel uninterruptible power supply system that eliminates expensive active switching components between power sources and backup systems. Traditional UPS installations require active switches to manage power flow from utility grids or generators, creating single points of failure, demanding costly synchronization, and resisting efficient scaling when adding backup capacity. This system instead connects multiple UPS units directly and in parallel to independent power sources—each UPS independently linked to different mains feeds and different maintenance bypass feeds—without intermediate active switches. The direct-connection architecture reduces equipment costs, improves scalability by simply adding more parallel UPS units, eliminates synchronization requirements, minimizes failure points, and lowers power losses. The parallel configuration maintains redundancy: if any component fails, backup paths through the UPS network continue supplying power to connected loads.
