System and method for efficient power distribution and backup

Overview
A parallel uninterruptible power supply system that eliminates costly active switching components between power sources and individual UPS units. Conventional backup systems require expensive active switches at each UPS input to coordinate power from utility sources, making expansion costly and creating a single point of failure when switches malfunction. This system connects multiple UPS units in parallel to two independent power sources, either directly or through passive and sensing-based switches with no active components. When one power source fails, the remaining source automatically continues supplying power to all connected UPS units without interruption. The design scales linearly—adding capacity requires only additional UPS units and switches, not reconfigured control logic. By eliminating active synchronization components and their associated losses, the system achieves lower operating costs and higher reliability than traditional multi-source backup configurations.
