Where it stands
Core Scientific closed its ~$233 million acquisition of land and power in Hunt County, Texas on May 5, 2026; the site is expected to support ~430 MW of gross power (~285 MW leasable), with energization planned to begin in 2027 and full power by 2029. In July 2026 AMD leased capacity across Pecos, Muskogee and Hunt County, with ~192 MW shown for Hunt. An October 2026 local news report says construction of the planned data center is underway, but no capacity is in service yet.
