Where it stands
TeraWulf signed an agreement in late 2025 to buy the Morgantown Generating Station in Charles County, Maryland. The plant has about 210 MW of existing generation, and TeraWulf plans to convert it to natural gas and expand it to about 1,000 MW for a potential data center campus. FERC authorized the purchase on July 29, 2026, but as of the August 2026 10-Q the deal had not closed and was expected to close in the second half of 2026. No construction or TeraWulf-operated capacity is reported, and the 210 MW is the existing plant's generation, not in-service project capacity.
