Where it stands
CleanSpark acquired about 271 acres in Austin County, Texas in October 2025, signed power agreements totaling 285 MW, and bought additional adjacent land in April 2026. No passage reports construction or energized capacity. As of August 2026 the project was described as proposed, faced a July county moratorium on data centers and a state interconnection audit, and drew local protests near Sealy. A 300 MW second site mentioned in January 2026 as being in Austin County is described in later filings as Brazoria County, so it is not counted here.
