Michael Turner, age 53, has served as an Independent Director on Riot's Board since February 2025, serving as Chair of the Audit Committee and sitting on the Compensation and Governance Committees. He is Co-Founder of SuperKey Insurance LLC, an AI-native risk management platform providing commercial property and casualty insurance.
Turner held executive roles in real estate for over a decade. He served as President of Oxford Properties Group, a leading global real estate investor and asset manager, from April 2018 through April 2023, having been Executive Vice President & Country Head from April 2016 through March 2018 and holding several positions of increasing authority from May 2010 through April 2016. Concurrently, he was Global Head of Real Estate at OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System), one of Canada's largest defined benefit pension funds, from April 2018 through April 2023. Prior to joining Oxford Properties, Turner was Executive Vice President, Investments at CBRE Group, Inc., a leading global real estate services and investment firm, from 2008 through 2010.
Turner holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Planning from Queen's University, and a Master of Finance from the University of Toronto, and is a CFA charter holder. He has served on the board of Lineage Inc. (NASDAQ: LINE), a global logistics leader, since September 2020, and previously served on boards of M7 Real Estate (UK) from January 2021 through March 2023, R-LABS Canada, Inc. from August 2018 to March 2022, and Honest Buildings from August 2018 to August 2019.
