Jason Les, age 39, has served as Chief Executive Officer since February 8, 2021, and as a Board member since November 2017. Pursuant to an executive employment agreement entered November 20, 2024, he is engaged as CEO for an initial 36-month term with successive 12-month renewal options. His compensation includes $600,000 annual base salary in cash plus 10.0 Bitcoin, and he is eligible for annual incentive bonuses targeting 100% of base salary plus 10.0 Bitcoin.
From May 2017 through November 2020, Les served as a founding partner of Binary Digital, a software-development company, where he led the engineering team and coordinated development of AI, reverse engineering, and inter-software compatibility projects. He previously worked for over a decade as a professional heads-up poker player, competing in high-stakes games online and at major tournaments globally. In 2015 and 2017, he was selected as a human benchmark for Carnegie Mellon University's "Man vs Machine" poker artificial intelligence testing.
Les holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. He has been involved with Bitcoin since 2013, with experience in cryptocurrency mining, protocol development engineering, and open-source project contributions.
