How we checked this
Checked on October 17, 2026. The cited source supports part of this claim, but not all of it.
The court order confirms that the parties jointly sought an extension to facilitate ongoing settlement discussions in Lancium's suit. It lists the other two companies only as co-defendants and does not say they are affiliates of U.S. Data Mining Group.
Confirmed in the source:
- Lancium LLC brought a suit against U.S. Data Mining Group, Inc. and two other defendants, U.S. Mining Infrastructure Operations, LLC and U.S. Data King Mountain LLC.
- The parties filed a joint motion asking to extend the defendants' deadline to respond to the complaint.
- The parties requested the extension to facilitate ongoing settlement discussions.
- The parties asked that the response deadline be extended to October 2, 2023, and the court granted the request on July 5, 2023.
We could not confirm this from the cited source:
- That U.S. Mining Infrastructure Operations, LLC and U.S. Data King Mountain LLC are affiliates of U.S. Data Mining Group, Inc. The order names them as co-defendants but does not describe any corporate relationship.
That does not mean it is false — only that this source does not establish it, as of the date above. If we find a source that settles it, we will re-check and update this page.
