How we checked this
Checked on October 9, 2026. The cited source supports part of this claim, but not all of it.
The 12.8 EH/s Lake Mariner nameplate and the 45.5% growth figure both appear in the source. However, the 45.5% compares Lake Mariner today with the company's two-facility capacity a year earlier, so the source does not show that Lake Mariner itself grew 45.5%.
Confirmed in the source:
- Nameplate BTC mining capacity at the Lake Mariner Facility was 12.8 EH/s as of June 30, 2025
- TeraWulf's BTC mining capacity grew 45.5% year over year to 12.8 EH/s
We could not confirm this from the cited source:
- That Lake Mariner's own capacity rose 45.5% year over year. The source's prior-year base of 8.8 EH/s covered TeraWulf's two facilities, including Nautilus, not Lake Mariner alone
That does not mean it is false — only that this source does not establish it, as of the date above. If we find a source that settles it, we will re-check and update this page.
What we did: Read our cached copy of SEC EDGAR (8-K Ex) (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1083301/000108330125000058/a_wulfformearningsreleaseq.htm) in full (24,064 characters, retrieved October 7, 2026) and checked each assertion in the claim against it.
