Where it stands
IREN's 50MW Prince George site has operated since September 2022 and has displaced all Bitcoin mining hashrate so the site can host AI Cloud GPUs. By May 2026 all air-cooled GPUs had been delivered and were either operating or being commissioned, and IREN's October 2026 proxy still describes GPU installations at Prince George as ongoing, so only part of the AI capacity is confirmed in service. October 2026 reports from SemiAnalysis cited customer complaints about outages and reliability at the site, and IREN has not confirmed them; a 2027 liquid-cooled deployment appears only in a news report.
