An October 10, 2026 article reports that on CleanSpark's August 6 call, Washington, Georgia had 86 MW energized and a line study had been submitted to expand by up to 500 MW. The passages describe no expansion construction. Separately, on a Friday shortly before September 22, 2026, a local authority voted 4-1 to give CleanSpark an option on roughly 100 acres in the Wilkes County industrial complex. That parcel may be a separate future data center, and nothing ties it to the 500 MW expansion.
