Bryant Riley is chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer of B. Riley Financial, Inc. (Nasdaq: RILY). His company held in excess of 5% of Applied Digital's outstanding common stock beginning in April 2023. B. Riley Financial and its subsidiaries entered into a Loan and Security Agreement with Applied Digital in May 2023 for a total possible principal amount of up to $50 million; the loan balance of $44.5 million as of May 31, 2024 was subsequently repaid in full.
