Patten has served as Chair of Core Scientific's Board of Directors since the company's emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on January 23, 2024. He serves on the Audit Committee and was appointed director by the Equity Committee under the Plan of Reorganization.
Since founding global real estate advisory firm RRG in 1996, Patten has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. His career has focused on developing real estate and technology management solutions for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and space optimization. He brings international business, finance, and corporate compliance expertise.
Since November 2004, Patten has served on the Board of Directors of MicroStrategy Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a multi-billion dollar company and the largest public company holder of bitcoin on its corporate balance sheet. He holds a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University's Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.
