McNeill, age 84, has served on CleanSpark's Board since 2015 and as Lead Independent Director since October 1, 2024. He previously chaired CleanSpark's Board from September 2017 through October 2019. He is retired as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development from Smith's Food and Drug Stores, where he spent 17 years as an executive officer before retiring in 1996 following the company's merger with Fred Meyer.
Prior to Smith's Food and Drug Stores, McNeill held director-level positions in research and market development at Safeway and A&P. At Safeway (1970-1975), he directed the Consumer, Sales, and Store Location research departments and oversaw the company's expansion into Europe, Australia, and Canada. At A&P, he served as Director of Market Research and led the company's expansion into Saudi Arabia. His career spans real estate, finance, research, law, and business strategy in the retail sector.
Education: Bachelor's in business administration, economics, and Russian language from Minnesota State University; MBA from Armstrong University; completed coursework toward a PhD in business management. Serves on CleanSpark's Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Corporate Governance committees.
