McDonald serves as an Independent Director of Applied Digital since 2021, sitting on the Compensation Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee. She currently works in merchandising and book sales for an independent bookstore.
From 2006 to 2020, McDonald worked in early childhood education. She served as Fundraising Chairperson and Social Media Manager for KSD NOW during its inception, helping launch a district-wide supplemental nutrition program. She has also worked in non-profit development and with the Literacy Project, and founded NG Gives Back.
McDonald earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
