Asher Genoot (age 31) has served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Hut 8 since February 2024, following his role as President since the Business Combination. He co-founded USBTC in December 2020 alongside Michael Ho and served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and director until the Business Combination. Since his appointment as CEO in February 2024, Genoot has led the company's transformation from a Bitcoin mining operator to a power-first energy infrastructure platform, including securing a landmark $7.0 billion base-term contract with Fluidstack for 245 MW at the River Bend campus and establishing a partnership with Anthropic to deploy up to 2,295 MW of AI data center infrastructure. Under his leadership, the company achieved stock price appreciation of approximately 1,067% from $6.77 on February 7, 2024, to $78.99 on April 20, 2026, alongside revenue growth of 45% year-over-year and gross margin expansion of 7 percentage points in 2025.
Prior to USBTC, Genoot founded and served as CEO of Curio, a Shanghai-based education company (April 2016 to May 2019), and held the position of Managing Director at Flagship Endeavors, a brand incubator (January 2019 to December 2020). He also served as founder of Ivy Crest Institute of International Education in Shanghai, which he started at age 19 and subsequently sold. Additionally, he served on the board of directors of Ionic Digital Inc. from January to June 2024 and has served as Executive Chairman of American Bitcoin Corp. since September 2025, with a concurrent directorship since March 2025.
Genoot holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

As reported in the company's DEF 14A Summary Compensation Table (SEC Reg S-K Item 402(c)). Stock and option awards are grant-date fair values — what the award was worth on the day it was granted, not cash received and not what it is worth now. Every row here reconciles: its columns add up to the total the filing printed.

Invested = shares acquired (buys, grants, option exercises) — insider adding to the position. Divested = shares reduced (sells, dispositions, tax-withholding) — cash flowing TO the insider. Net direction shows which side wins on dollar terms in each bucket. % of holder's stake not yet computed (pending Form 3/4 holdings ingest). See methodology. The two @ last price columns restate the same share counts at the most recent share price we read (close of 2026-09-04); they are a valuation, not a cash flow, and they move every day the market does.
