Edward Farrell, age 64, has served as Chief Financial Officer of Cipher Mining since August 2021. Prior to Cipher, he spent 15 years at AllianceBernstein, L.P. (2003–2018) in senior financial roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, and Controller. Before AllianceBernstein, he held positions at Nomura Securities International and Salomon Brothers, and started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Farrell brings more than 35 years of financial administration and leadership experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves on the board of directors of Arbor Realty Trust, Inc., where he is a member of both the Audit and Compensation Committees. He holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
