Walter E. Carter

Walter Carter has served as a member of TeraWulf's Board of Directors since November 2021. Most recently, he was president of The Ohio State University from August 2023 through March 2026, and prior to that served as president of the University of Nebraska beginning in January 2020.

Carter is a retired Vice Admiral with 38 years of service in the U.S. Navy. From July 2014 to July 2019, he served as Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy, his alma mater, where he led the institution to achieve No. 1 public school ranking by Forbes and expanded academic opportunity and diversity. He is a Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Star recipient and a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.
