Swick has served as Chief Growth Officer at Marathon Digital since March 2023. Prior to joining Marathon, he spent two years (2020-2021) as a principal at Refinery Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he identified and analyzed investment opportunities and recommended business strategies to accelerate portfolio company growth.
Before Refinery, Swick was director of strategic finance at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange from 2018 to 2020, where he managed the company's balance sheet, debt program, investor relations, and forecasting activities. He also founded Swick Capital, a crypto-asset hedge fund. Earlier in his career, he worked at Pritzker Group Venture Capital in Chicago from 2015 to 2017 evaluating early-stage investment opportunities and spent three years at Boston Consulting Group (2012-2015) consulting for Fortune 500 clients across healthcare, consumer goods, information technology, and nonprofit sectors.
Swick holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
