Quote: “the staff of Nasdaq had determined that the Company's common stock would be delisted from Nasdaq. In the Delisting Notice, the staff of Nasdaq referenced concerns about the Company's ability to sustain compliance with all requirements for continued listing on Nasdaq and public interest concerns related to the Chapter 11 Cases. Trading of the Company's securities was suspended at the opening of business on January 3, 2023”
How we checked this
Checked on October 11, 2026. The cited source supports part of this claim, but not all of it.
The 10-K confirms Nasdaq's delisting determination, its reasons, and that trading was suspended on January 3, 2023. It does not state that the delisting itself became effective on that date.
Confirmed in the source:
- Nasdaq staff determined that Core Scientific's common stock would be delisted from Nasdaq
- Nasdaq cited the Chapter 11 cases and concerns about the company's ability to sustain compliance with continued listing requirements
- The company had separately been notified that it no longer met Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement
- Trading in the company's securities on the Nasdaq Global Select Market was suspended on January 3, 2023
We could not confirm this from the cited source:
- The delisting from Nasdaq took effect on January 3, 2023 (the filing dates the trading suspension to that day, not the formal delisting)
That does not mean it is false — only that this source does not establish it, as of the date above. If we find a source that settles it, we will re-check and update this page.
What we did: Read our cached copy of SEC EDGAR (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1839341/000162828023010454/core-20221231.htm) in full (860,799 characters, retrieved September 13, 2026) and checked each assertion in the claim against it.
