Where it stands
Marathon assumed a five-year lease on a 26,700 sq ft building in Quebec in February 2018 and began bitcoin mining there in March 2018. It recorded impairments on the mining equipment in 2018 and on the leasehold improvements in 2019. On March 7, 2021 it terminated the lease and was fully released from its obligations, so the site is no longer operated. The passages never state an MW capacity. The separate GBV/Hypertec-hosted servers in a Quebec datacenter (P1-P3) appear to be a different facility and are not counted here.
