Garden City
Project of Marathon Digital
Where it stands
MARA acquired the operational Garden City, TX bitcoin mining site from Applied Digital on April 1, 2024, with 132 MW operational and 200 MW nameplate capacity. The latest capacity figures, from the FY2024 10-K, show 126 MW operational and 74 MW of growth capacity that is subject to approvals; no passage shows that growth capacity under construction. Severe storms in Q2 2025 destroyed some miners, leading to an impairment of about $26 million. Filings through August 2026 still refer to 'our Garden City mining site' and report no further impairments, but none give updated MW figures after March 2025.
