Kearney
Project of Hut 8
Where it stands
Kearney, Nebraska (the 'Charlie Site', about 100 MW) was a third-party-owned site that USBTC, and later Hut 8, operated under a property management agreement and used for self-mining. Hut 8's management agreements for Kearney and Granbury ended on April 30, 2024, after MARA bought the sites, and MARA paid Hut 8 a $13.5 million termination fee. Filings through February 2026 describe Kearney only as a former site, so Hut 8 has no current capacity there. 'Sold' reflects the transfer of the site to MARA, but Hut 8 never owned it; it exited a managed site rather than selling one.
Assessed November 1, 2026 from the newest filings, releases and reporting that name this project (newest relied on: February 24, 2026).
