Miner Riot Platforms sold 4,300 BTC to cover operating expenses and expand data centers. The company currently holds 11,380 BTC, of which 5,821 BTC are pledged; as of June 30, their total value was approximately $666 million based on the bitcoin price.

In the second quarter, Riot mined 1,587 BTC at an average cost of $49,912 per coin, excluding depreciation. Revenue from mining the leading cryptocurrency decreased by 19.3% year-over-year to $113.7 million.
