The latest announcement is out from Core Scientific Inc ( (CORZ) ).
On August 13, 2026, Core Scientific Inc. completed its previously announced acquisition of Polaris DS LLC, a Nevada-based entity, in a cash deal valued at approximately $444.3 million, subject to post-closing adjustments. The transaction makes Polaris a wholly owned subsidiary and secures roughly 440 megawatts of gross, grid-connected power capacity under existing agreements with Oklahoma Gas & Electric, strengthening Core Scientific’s access to firm electrical power.
The acquisition advances Core Scientific’s plan to scale its Muskogee, Oklahoma campus to about 1.5 gigawatts of gross power, or around 1.0 gigawatt of leasable power, through a mix of grid-connected and behind-the-meter solutions. With more than 600 megawatts of leasable power added via site deals this year and another 82 megawatts at Muskogee scheduled for delivery to a customer in the second half of 2027, the move underscores the company’s strategy to expand capacity for high-density colocation and AI workloads, with implications for its growth trajectory and competitiveness in the digital infrastructure market.

Spark’s Take on CORZ Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, CORZ is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by weak financial fundamentals—large losses, negative equity, high leverage, and negative free cash flow—despite strong revenue growth and positive operating cash flow. The latest earnings call was a notable positive, supported by increased billable capacity, improved cash gross profit targets, and major project financing, but technicals remain weak with the stock trading below key moving averages and valuation is constrained by unprofitability.
